Now published every four years, The National Security Strategy of the United States is a strategic planning document mandated by the Nichols-Goldwater Department of Defense Reorganization Act of 1986. According to President Trump, his "... Administration's National Security Strategy lays out a strategic vision for protecting the American people and preserving our way of life, promoting our prosperity, preserving peace through strength, and advancing American influence in the world. We will pursue this beautiful visionā€”a world of strong, sovereign, and independent nations, each with its own cultures and dreams, thriving side-by-side in prosperity, freedom, and peaceā€”throughout the upcoming year." This guide includes articles and documents that discuss some of the issues in the 2017 National Security Strategy of the United States.
