Why diversity is a key to success in the Air National Guard

From the first African-American pilot to the first female wing commander, diversity in the Air National Guard is a concept that unifies and empowers airmen to be the most equipped force of air power. Diversity takes what makes everyone different and creates versatile unity.

We are stronger together.

Vice Admiral Linda Fagan, Pacific Area commander, reflects on the values America and the Coast Guard were founded upon and the social justice movement, our service, country, and world are experiencing, July 7, 2020. All Americans should be guaranteed equality, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all individuals, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation. U.S. Coast Guard video edited by Chief Petty Officer Matthew S. Masaschi.

Ready We Stand: Our Diverse Guard

As part of Diversity Month, the Oklahoma National Guard Office of Public Affairs has produced a video of eight Service Members, as both Guardsmen and Civilians.

Our Guard is diverse, not only in race and ethnicity, but in careers and culture. We are community. We are among the few who answer the call to both State and Nation. We are Citizen Soldiers and Airmen, and We Stand Ready.
